If you're having trouble using Kiroku or experiencing an issue we may ask you to provide a screenshot. This is a guide on how to do this using different platforms.
On a Mac:
1. Capture the entire screen:
- Press Command (⌘) + Shift + 3 simultaneously.
- The screenshot will be saved to your desktop.
2. Capture a selected portion of the screen:
- Press Command (⌘) + Shift + 4.
- Drag to select the portion of the screen you want to capture.
- Release the mouse button.
- The screenshot will be saved to your desktop.
3. Capture a specific window:
- Press Command (⌘) + Shift + 4 followed by the Spacebar.
- Click on the window you want to capture.
- The screenshot will be saved to your desktop.
On a PC (Windows):
1. Capture the entire screen:
- Press PrtScn (Print Screen) key. On some keyboards, it might be labeled as PrtSc or similar.
- The screenshot is copied to your clipboard and can be pasted into an image editor or document.
2. Capture the active window:
- Press Alt + PrtScn.
- The screenshot of the active window is copied to your clipboard.
3. Capture a selected portion of the screen (Windows 10 and later):
- Press Windows key + Shift + S.
- Drag to select the portion of the screen you want to capture.
- The screenshot is copied to your clipboard and can be pasted into an image editor or document.
4. Capture a specific window (Windows 10 and later):
- Press Alt + PrtScn.
- The screenshot of the active window is copied to your clipboard.
On an iPad:
1. Capture the entire screen:
- Press the Top Button (also known as the Sleep/Wake or Power button) located on the top-right or top-left edge of the iPad.
- Simultaneously press the Home button (the circular button on the front bezel).
- Quickly release both buttons.
- The screen will flash, and you'll hear a camera shutter sound if your sound is enabled. The screenshot is saved to your Photos app.
2. Capture the entire screen (iPad Pro models without a Home button):
- Press the Top Button (the button on the top edge of the iPad).
- Simultaneously press the Volume Up button.
- Quickly release both buttons.
- The screen will flash, and you'll hear a camera shutter sound. The screenshot is saved to your Photos app.
3. Capture a selected portion of the screen (iPadOS 15 and later):
- Open the screen or app you want to capture.
- Swipe up from the bottom corner or press the Power Button + Volume Up Button at the same time.
- Drag to select the portion of the screen you want to capture.
- Release your finger.
- The screenshot is saved to your Photos app.
Once you've taken a screenshot on your iPad, you can find and view it in the Photos app. From there, you can edit, share, or delete the screenshot as needed.
