Editing Your Docs

You can easily edit and customise your Docs - here's how

To edit a Docs template, go to the Docs tab and open the edit option from the template card.

Docs relies on different kinds of AI instructions to populate your letter, which are outlined along the right-side information panel.

These are:

Placeholders

Enclose text in [ ] to show where the AI will insert information drawn from your notes. For instance, when discussing patient education, use a placeholder for it.

E.g. [Summarise the chief complaint] or [List the patient's ortho problems]

Word for word language,

Enclose phrases in * * to ensure they are repeated exactly each time. This is useful for signatures and introductions. Use this technique sparingly—avoid quoting everything.

E.g. *Best wishes,* or *I hope this letter finds you well*

Providing Guidance

Use brackets to clarify how the AI should apply Placeholders and Word-for-Words.

E.g. (this should be presented as a bulleted list) or (only include this if the patient is diabetic)

These different types of instructions can be used in combination.

The AI Template editor

The AI template editor can be found on the left-hand side of your screen.

You can use this editor to make changes to your Docs - simply type your request into the chat box.

For example, you could ask it to:

  • "Add more detail about the treatment”
  • "Ensure treatment options are outputted as a bulleted list"
  • "Add a signature with the following information ... "
  • "Ensure this letter is written in patient friendly language"
  • "Add guidance to ensure this letter comprehensively explains all treatment options"
Our AI will then perform the task to the best of its ability and give explanation on what exactly it's done where applicable.
