# Accessing Kiroku like an App on your computer or device
## Create a shortcut to quickly access Kiroku without opening a browser
Kiroku is browser-based, but you can make it feel just like a native app by creating a shortcut that lives on your desktop/device.
This gives you **one-tap access** without opening Safari or Chrome each time.
### Adding Kiroku as an app on your desktop
#### Chrome and Edge
1. Open Kiroku in **Google Chrome** or **Microsoft Edge**.
2. Look at the **address bar (top of your browser)** — on the right, you’ll see a small **monitor icon with a down arrow**.
3. Click that icon.
4. Select **“Install”** when prompted.
#### **Safari (Mac)**
1. Open Kiroku in Safari.
2. Click the **Share** button found in the top right corner of your screen (the square with an upwards pointing arrow).
3. Choose **Add to Dock**.
4. Name it **Kiroku** and click **Add**.
5. You can now open Kiroku directly from your Dock.

### **iPhone / iPad (Safari)**
1. Open **Safari** and go to your [Kiroku dashboard](https://editor.trykiroku.com/).
2. Tap the **Share** button (the square with an arrow at the bottom of the screen).
3. Scroll down and select **Add to Home Screen**.
4. Give it a name (e.g. “Kiroku”) and tap **Add**.
5. An icon will appear on their home screen like a regular app.
### **Android (Chrome)**
1. Open **Chrome** and go to your [Kiroku dashboard](https://editor.trykiroku.com/).
2. Tap the **three-dot menu** in the top right.
3. Select **Add to Home screen** or **Install app**.
4. Choose a name and confirm.
5. It will appear in their app drawer/home screen and launch like an app.
